UPCOMING WEEKEND DATES

Spring 2006 is here; well at least the calendar said so.  But one other way we can tell is when the Spring Weekends are upon us.  Get out your day planners, PDAs or if you are still using old fashioned calendars get them out and mark these dates down.

  • April 8th at 4:00 pm   is the Kick off Agape.

  • April 20th-23rd is the Men’s Weekend

  • April 22nd 8:00 pm to 8:15 pm is the Candle Light Ceremony for the Men’s Weekend.

  • April 23rd at 4:00 pm is the Closing Ceremony for the Men’s Weekend.

  • May 18th -21st is the Women’s Weekend

  • May 20th   8:00 pm to 8:15 pm is the Candle Light Ceremony for the Women’s Weekend.

  • May 21st at 4:00 pm is Closing Ceremony for the Women’s Weekend.

  • June 3rd is the Fourth Day Gathering and Agape.

The Agape is a covered dish event for the whole Credo Community, family, friends and guests. We gather and pray over the Team members, we pray for the Candidates and we break and share bread together much in the same way the first Christians did when they gathered together.  This year the Agape will be held at the United Methodist Church of South Vineland at 4:00 PM in the Church Basement.  Bring a covered dish, family and friends.  Also bring any Palanca you have been working on for the Weekends.

Directions to United Methodist Church of South Vineland will be continued further on in this letter.

April 20th-23rd is the Men’s Weekend.  That Saturday is April 22nd and on Saturday evening is when we gather at Malaga Campground to Pray, sing and show support to the Candidates and the Team.  Again bring family and friends.  The Candle Light Ceremony is a very important part of the Weekend experience for the Candidates and a great show of support for the Team.  This is the first time some of the Candidates are introduced to a sense of Community or “Church” as a member of the “Family of God”.  The Candle Light Ceremony will be repeated again on May 20th for the Women’s Weekend.  Please be there before 8:00 pm.  Park and enter the Main Hall Discreetly.  Directions to Malaga Campground will be continued further in this letter.

June 3rd at 4:00 is the Fourth Day Reunion.  It will be at this time that our whole community gathers and welcomes the new members.  We will give thanks with an Agape Service and with a covered dish dinner.  It will be held at the United Methodist Church of South Vineland.  Bring family, friends or perspective candidates.

BOARD MEETING

The next Board Meeting will be held on June 3rd at 2:00 pm at the United Methodist Church of South Vineland before the Fourth Day reunion.  All are welcome to attend.  The Board is looking for people who are discerning how they can help the Credo Community by giving of themselves whether it would be Time, Talent or Treasure.  We hold meetings four times a year.  We need people to help fill some of the Board Positions and to help is assisting in areas such as Social, Physical, and Music…etc.  Come and check it out this might be a way of giving back to your community in Thanksgiving for all the Lord has done for you.

SOCIAL

This year 2006 is the Tenth Anniversary of the first Credo Weekend.  We would like to plan a really big Reunion event in October as a Fund Raiser.  This event is important for community fellowship and to help replenish our coffers which is depleting.  If you are interested in helping us out with planning this event or to find out what you can contribute contact Diana Hoffman at 609-884-8349.

Please keep in your prayers the following Brothers and Sisters:

Helen Patti (God knows her intention), Ed Musiak, John Richards, Jacob DiLullo, Billy Spawlding, Tonny Yang, Susanne Lloyd, Peg Rosenberg

Also reserve some extra prayer time on Thursday through Sunday every week because somewhere in the world there is a Weekend going on.
